Shubb 5th String Sliding Capo

The Shubb Fifth String Capo works well, but I prefer spikes because they are less noticeable and don’t bother me. The Schubb Capo feels somewhat in the way. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re trying to decide the best capo method for the fifth string.

I was very pleased with Deering banjo once again. My Capo works great and installation was easy. Deering is simply the best all around banjo brand and supplier of all things related. Thanks Deering!!

It worked well.

I sure do like it. I like it because it goes past the 13 fret. Now I don't have to retune the fifth string when I capo in d tuning. So pick away on the old banjo keep that guitar strumming put more water in the soup better times a coming. from Jim and Jesse's song better times a coming.

Better installation instructions would have been nice.

I love Deering as a company BUT I think the gig bag was less than I expected. Not enough padding AND no plastic pad on the bottom to stand it up. It cost me over $100.00 so not a great value. Matter of fact your Deering patch appears more expensive than the bag.

A very nice long one... I thought I was ordering the shorter 5 3/4" one. I cut it off and drilled and c'sink a new hole... Works great. Deering should offer both.

I haven't had much time to to try it out but my guitar tech says it works okay. His only comment was I would need to guide the position of the fifth string for best contact.... I had a few problems with your shipping but Deering straightened that out in a reasonable amount of time. Your phone salesman was a very pleasant fellow.

This capo is so convient, works great and I love it. If your a thumb wrapper on top of the fret board you may have to get used to it but it took less than a day to get comfortable with it!. Now I couldn’t see not having one! I totally recommend getting one!

The initial fifth string capo was defective and Deering replaced it. Now it woeks like a charm. Convenient and quick to set. Ive tried various 5th string fapos and this is the best

Component arrived bent out of shape. However, this was easily fixed and it works like a charm now.
