True Tone tailpiece a winner

Bought two. One to replace a knockoff Price tailpiece on a 2001 Calico I purchased. It greatly improved the clarity and volume of that banjo. It sounds amazing, but it’s too loud to play indoors now. Haha.

Full disclosure, I also replaced the heads on both banjos with Deering heads and both bridges with Deering smile bridges. Neither of those banjos sounded very good when I picked them off the wall at the music stores they lived at, but you could hear something special deep inside them. Quality Products Guaranteed

I love Deering products. They only sell quality goods. The True Tone tailpiece is a game changer for any banjo. I love that it is thin like any other presto but much more stiff. It adds a little more of the bluegrass sound that I love to any banjo. I really hope to try their latigo leather strap soon.

Ok advice of experts I purchased a True Tone tailpiece to enhance the sound on my 25+ year old Black Diamond. The difference is significant if hard to describe. I especially like how much different the sustain sounds and how I can shape the sustain by gently moving the neck. Now it seems less more pure,less distorted and easier to control. I loved the sound before and even more with the tailpiece. Advice from Deering personnel was spot on and shipping was very fast as has been every contact and purchase from Deering.

Fantastic tailpiece!

I recently swapped out a No-Knot for the True Tone. I was nervous that the True Tone would make my banjo too bright sounding. But, it didn’t. In fact, it fattened up the tone of my banjo while helping to eliminating some of the overtones. I am very surprised and satisfied. I would highly recommend trying one of these out.

Big Improvement

I was upgrading my 1999 Vega Little Wonder and purchased this tailpiece. It was originally backordered and Nicole kept me informed as to when it would be shipped.
