Jens Kruger Signature Banjo strings

I bought these strings when I read about them and heard Jens talking about why he uses the particular gauges and materials and I’m a great fan of Jens’ beginner banjo lessons and his masterful music. I’m no expert but I do know these strings sound a treat on my Boston 5 string banjo!

Q: Hi there - re the Jens Kruger string set. We live on the coast and find the cryogenic strings do not corrode. What are the Kruger strings made of and are they anti-corrosive? Thanks Helen Matheson

A: Each set is foil packed, with each string being individually wrapped in a nitrogen infused pack, allowing them to last longer in the pack. These strings are made of untreated plain steel for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th, with a nickel wound 4th.

Q: I noticed that these strings are the same thickness as the Tenbrooks strings that Deering used to make which I love. Are these pretty much the same strings as the Tenbrooks or are they different somehow? Thanks!
