Hey Yens, how can you play so fast.I see what you do but I can’t get it.
I am an advanced beginner, self-taught but motivated during the pandemic by the Deering Jens Kruger master classes. I watched every single FB broadcast by the Kruger Brothers including cooking. I taught myself the Scruggs method with various YouTube classes but cannot seem to do the clawhammer at all no matter what. I have a Deering Eagle II and bought a beginner lightweight Goodtime learners version for my grandchildren.
I am so looking forward to seeing you live for the first time when you come to Hugh’s Room Live in Toronto.
I am constantly struggling with accuracy with my right hand using picks. If I take them off I am accurate. I have been playing with picks for 2 years now and still feel uncomfortable wearing them and have changed them quite often to see if they make a difference. I currently use a Golden gate thumb pick and Hoffmeyers. Do you have any suggestions.
When taking a lead on a song that you don’t know in a jam, what are your goals? Once you have the chord progression in your head, what is crashing and burning and what is succeeding?
