The D'Addario Banjo Capo Pro works very well on four of the banjo's strings. I'll need to learn how to tune the 5th string when the capo is across the four strings, but I I have a friend who is an excellent banjo player who will be able to show me how to do that.

The capo itself is very well made and I'm sure it will last a long time.

Simple to use and works great with my banjo

This would've been THE perfect banjo capo for me: it's lightweight; unobtrusive; and looks & operates seriously great; BUT... the upper bar which actually clamps the strings is TOO SHORT (it might not be long enough to touch the 1st string!). Not as fast as some others but significantly more accurate - if placed directly ON the fret. Not as clunky either.
