This rugged distressed leather strap from Deering bears the traditional Eagle logo embossed in gold.

The adjustable cradle strap is 2” wide and 1/8” thick and is made specifically to carry the weight of heavier Deering banjos.

Designed for Deering and Tenbrooks Banjos

This strap will not fit Eagle Series, Vega, and Goodtime Series, Boston (5&6) banjos.

Shoelace attachment included. Cradle ends will not fit Chicago screw attachment.

My deering Sierra very well and comfortable. It looks great too has a rustic look to it that I like I’ll probably buy another when it comes back in stock for my maple blossom banjo

Rustic banjo strap

Its great. I was getting upper back pain from the traditional strap i was using, but this one distributed the weight such that that is gone. Looks great too.

Some changes for continuous improvement

I would make the main strap 1 1/2" wide or 1 1/4". The smaller adjustment pieces sized to fit and leave the leather thickness alone. You could test its support of heavier 11 pound banjos. Could be 3 to 6" longer for a taller person like me. Long live the Deering banjo company.

Great strap for my Sierra

Fits great on my Sierra. Leather is a bit stiff. It will take a bit of time to wear in. Found a video from Deering on how to install this cradle strap. Very helpful. Found the length to fit great. I'm 6' and it seemed to fit perfectly. Shipping to a bit longer to get to Toronto Canada area but in the end we'll worth it. Thanks very much!!👍

Nice Strap

Good quality leather and the color works very nice with my Epiphone. Would have given it 5 stars but it is a little short. I did however find a way for it to work for me. Please add a little more length guys. I'm sure people won't mind paying a few extra dollars for a little more adjustment. Otherwise great strap.

Great strap

Got this for my Deering Boston. I just rolled it and worked it for a few nights while watching TV to soften it up quicker than just do so while playing. Very comfortable and looks great.

Solid and uncomplicated

It's not padded, but it's nice and wide and holds the (significant) weight of my Sierra comfortably, and it'll only continue to get softer with use.

It's a bit of a thing to get it in the case, but it works fine - I'm just being careful to avoid folding the strap directly in line with the lace-holes as that would be the weakest point.

I wish I had bought the Latigo padded strap instead

It is not as soft as I had hoped for especially since it is designed for heavier banjo’s. The workmanship is second to none and the looks are great, but I wish that I had offered some more to get the Latigo strap. Deering is not to blame for that, only me and my wish get an les expensive strap.

I’ve purchased this strap for all three of my banjos and have never been disappointed. It’s rugged and functional. A bit stiff when new, but over a short time it becomes softer and more pliable. A: This strap has thick cradle ends that work fine on our upper line Deering banjos. I don't know what the spacing is on your Goldtone banjo so I can verify whether it will work or not. I know you could safely use the the straps for our Boston/Vega/Goodtime line like the soft leather strap, the stitched leather strap, etc.
