This is a great mute works well and is an easy way to fit

Did a lot of research before buying this mute and it makes an incredible difference while practicing using this mute. Well worth the cost! Easy to use, well built, gives a mellow sound, and good looking too! Would buy again without hesitation.

Great part works.

Just started banjo lessons. With my busy schedule a wife that hates banjo music and two young kids that need to sleep I was worried when I discovered how loud a resonator was. Night is the only time I have to practice so this is a life saver! Very quiet and sounds great. Love it, love it, love it!!!

It took a while to get here but I was amazed at how much it mutes. Very easy to use and the wife is happy!

Works very well on bridges with 3 legs. It lowers the sound to an amazing level. If you have a two leg bridge it will not work or least it didn't work on mine. But again this is a true sound mute

Great banjo mute!

The mute works great. Fast delivery, great workmanship and nice packaging. We have a small home and I am beginner (1 Hour practices) so having the mute has helped… a lot.

I own three other banjo mutes, but the Mikes banjo mute, quiets the banjo very effectively, but lets the string ring clear. I enjoy using it for those time when others may not want to hear me practicing (Like when the wife is asleep "Happy Wife Happy Life" LOL)

No one wants to hear my husband practice. I bought him this to preserve my sanity. It work’s quite well. Someday when he is better he may not need it as much.

Deadens the sound too much..

excellent mute good tone, no distortion and reasonably priced

Put it on my Deering Goodtime Two. It is amazing how good it works. Muted without distortion. Kept in tune. The best thing is that my wife loves it. Wonder why that is? Steve.

It works fantastic. It brings the volume down huge, without killing any sustain. Obviously, the tone becomes more guitar like since there is little vibration to the head, but it is an amazing practice tool. Should of bought one years ago!

I have owned this mute for the past five years and only wished I had owned it years earlier. It does a fantastic job of muting without distorting the pitch. Simple and effective. An absolute “must” for any considerate banjo player who does not want their practicing to disturb family or neighbors. Well worth the purchase price.
