After years of customer requests, we are proud to offer the new Goodtime banjo ukulele! If you are searching for an instrument that is fun and easy to play in literally any setting, then the Goodtime banjo uke might be just what you are looking for!
Often called a banjolele, simply strum a few chords and you will be taken to a land without the stress and distractions of the daily routine. The nylon strings make playing easy on your fingers and the small size and light weight allows you to take this instrument with you literally anywhere - the beach, the office, camping, boating - you name it!
The concert scale and full size 11” rim produces a wonderfully warm yet noticeably louder and fuller sound across the perfectly balanced Aquila Super Nylgut strings. These tonal characteristics are only further enhanced, not only by the naturally warm renaissance head but with the addition of the patented bridge plate, which increases sustain while reducing unwanted bass frequencies.

It sounds warm, beautiful and round. Just like it looks!

Had to move the neck rest but it fits good. Everyone thinks it’s a banjo until I take it out and are surprised at the size. Thanks, Steve. Read LessRead less about I got my Banjo/Ukulele over a year

so makes the 8 highest frets (instead of 3) a harder reach, at least those are seldom used.
Issue 2, it does not come with a hard case, and no one makes a hard case to fit it. The only option is the Deering gig bag. You could possibly use an open back tenor banjo hard case, which would be 6-8 inches too long past the headstock. Just be sure it's wide enough at the tuners, and the uke clears the accessory compartment. Read LessRead less about Deering's craftsmanship is definitely

reviews mentioned it being loud. If I strum with my thumb, it projects nicely by uke standards. If I strum with the back of my clawhammer fingernail, it's much louder ... without some dampening of the sound, it would border on unpleasant in a small space like a tent. But awesome in a large room!
* When I'm sitting, it nestles perfectly in my lap like a banjo (naturally), and is much easier for me to hold than a normal ukulele. But when holding it standing up, I'm having to adjust to the different size and weight. I might get a strap. Read LessRead less about I would echo much fun, great tone,

made. Find it difficult to put it down......crisp, great intonation, loud when required. Great for strumming, George Formby-style triplets etc. Learning how to finger pick on it; this style of playing seems to suit it best of all. As a guitarist for 45 years, and a uke player for 12 months, this banjo uke is probably the most inspiring instrument I've come across. It's so much fun. My only disappointment is that it didn't come with a hard case and because of its unusual shape, I've struggled to find one to suit. I'm making my own..... Please advise which Aquila Super Nylgut Strings to buy for this Banjolele. Thanks!

thank you!

I like the look and quality. My only concern is that the sound quality is muted on the A string as you play higher notes.
Is this due to the use/tension of nylon strings?

Why A Goodtime Banjo
1. DEERING GOODTIME SMILE BRIDGE
The responsive sensitivity of the maple, with the hard, dense ebony top contributes to the Goodtime banjos clear, resonant responsiveness.
2. QUIET TAILPIECE
Specially selected metal is used to prevent the tailpiece from making “its own sound” and muddying up the banjo’s tone. The violin maple rim is supposed to sing, not your tailpiece.
3. STABILITY ENHANCING J-HOOKS
The proprietary Deering J-hooks are wider at the top to prevent twisting off the tension hoop when tightening the banjo head.

4. QUIET COORDINATOR ROD
Made of special alloy that is strong and does not interfere with the singing resonance of the violin maple rim.
5. 3-PLY VIOLIN GRADE MAPLE RIM
The maple in the Goodtime rim is the exact wood used in the finest violins in the world. Only Deering puts this professional grade 3-ply maple rim in a banjo in this price range.
6. SEALED GEARED TUNERS
Five high quality geared tuning machines make tuning the Goodtime banjo easy, accurate and fun. Too many student banjos are cursed with poor quality tuners, so the students blame themselves for an out of tune banjo when it’s the tuner that is at fault.
7. ROCK MAPLE NECK
This fine grained, dense, extremely hard, wood creates a stable neck, and imparts a bright, crisp quality to the Goodtime banjo tone.
